Growing up in a military family means experiencing a wide range of places and cultures. You quickly learn that people around the world can become disconnected, as each culture has its own unique way of thinking, communicating, and doing things.

As designers, we can communicate across these boundaries by bridging differences and connecting people, without needing to speak the same language. Design has the ability to unify, making the world feel a little bit smaller.
